At OSTRAL, we regularly enjoy taking on ambitious logistical challenges.
Among our highlights this year, two significant events perfectly illustrate our expertise: the Festival of Lights in Lyon and the pop-up show at the Parc des Oiseaux in Villars-les-Dombes.
What is event logistics?
Event logistics is much more than transportation.
It involves anticipating, organizing, and executing each step with rigor to ensure the success of an event. This includes temporary storage, secure transportation, and the installation of equipment in optimal conditions.
Careful preparation for flawless execution
Starting in November 2024, our teams planned and organized the transport and installation of containers for these two major events:
✅ Parc des Oiseaux: 8 containers
✅ Fête des Lumières in Lyon: 4 containers
The goods were collected in the Lyon and Paris regions, requiring meticulous coordination between our teams and our partners.
A logistics service designed for each event
Each project has its own specificities, and our role is to adapt our services to the constraints of each site:
📍 In Lyon, right in the city center, we had to obtain specific municipal permits and organize the installation on a Sunday to minimize the impact on traffic. Our teams conducted preliminary visits with municipal services to ensure the operations ran smoothly.
📍 At the Parc des Oiseaux, we organized a 6 a.m. morning delivery to avoid the public being present during the container lifting. Since access was restricted, detailed planning allowed us to optimize each step.

Lyon: 1 crane truck was enough to transport the 4 containers.
Parc des Oiseaux: 2 vehicles were deployed to comply with access restrictions.
Our EVE (Voluntary Commitments for the Environment) certification demonstrates our environmental commitment.
